Jersey and Guernsey Routes Information

Jersey and Guernsey are the largest of the Channel Islands, lying approximately 100 miles off the coast of England. Both Islands are small and very beautiful with stunning beaches and countryside. The Bailiwick of Guernsey is made up of several other smaller islands including Sark, Herm and Alderney. They are famous for their excellent climate, superb prices and laid back attitude to life. Jersey and Guernsey are ideal for short breaks and Condor Ferries offers great prices on all ferry routes to the Channel Islands.

The most famous landmark in Jersey is Elizabeth Castle which withstood Oliver Cromwell and his army for seven weeks in 1651, and was later used by the occupying German forces during World War II. They are both easily accessed by ferry.

The main beach in the south of Jersey, St Brelade's Bay, is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and there are excellent hotels for you to choose from. St Peter Port, Guernsey, is a stunning little town and is the capital and main port for Guernsey. The islands have an enviable reputation for good cuisine whether in small pubs, wine bars or high-class restaurants. Seafood is very popular and there is a wide selection of home-grown produce available; scallops, oysters, spider crabs and lobster are particularly good.

The islands are also a haven for shoppers due to their tax free status. Luxury items such as spirits, cigarettes, jewellery and perfumes are popular buys. Local products such as knitwear, pottery, woodcrafts and even flowers are excellent value. Guernsey and Jersey are fabulous places for a short break or even a longer self-drive ferry holiday. We can offer you a range of hand picked hotels that you may book directly with our staff when you book your ferry.
