Seafrance Pets InformationPets are welcome onboard SeaFrance Ferries !!
Before your departure with SeaFrance:
In order for you to be able to take a pet across, it is required that you meet certain conditions; the criteria is as follows:
- your pet must be identifiable via a microchip that is implanted under his or her skin.
- your pet needs to be vaccinated against rabies.
- your pet needs to have a blood test done at least 6 months prior to departure.
- your pet needs to have received an antiparasitic vaccination at least 24 hours before arrival at the check-in for SeaFrance. The treatment is no longer valid after 48 hours.
You need to posses the originals of the following documents:
- EU : Pet Passport
- Non EU : a veterinary certificate
Checking in and travelling with Sea France:
Because there is additional administration procedures required at the ports due to taking a pet, please check in at least 45 minutes prior to departure.
Please note well that pets will remain in your vehicle for the whole duration of the crossing and it is forbidden to access the vehicle decks during this time.
