Stena Line Pets InformationStenaLine is part of the government’s Pet Travel Scheme (PTS). On the Harwich – Hook of Holland route, you are able to return to the UK with your dog or cat.
The special price available for your pet is the lowest available, at just £10 each way.
You have the option to decide where your pet stays during the journey, whether it is in your car or in the kennels aboard the ship. You are able to visit your pet during the crossing, however, your pets are not allowed onto the passenger decks.
Can I take my pet to Europe?
Yes, you can take your pet on all vessels to Europe without them being subject to quarantine laws on re-entry to the UK with Stena Line Ferries. You can decide whether your pet stays in the Kennels (Stena Europe Only) or in the car, and it is possible for you to visit during the crossing. (Visitation is subject to the weather conditions and staff discretion). Please inquire at the information desk about the access times once you are on board. Guide dogs only are permitted on the passenger decks.
Am I able to take my pet to Ireland?
Yes, you are able to take your pets on all ships on the Rosslare – Fishguard route with Stena Line Ferries. What papers will my pet need?
Your pet will be required to have a valid EU Pet Passport which involves being fitted with a microchip, vaccinated and blood tested against rabies. For details, please visit the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs at www.defra.gov.uk.

How much will it cost?
No charge on the Irish Sea Routes to Ireland or Britain. Pets can travel for £10 each way on the Harwich – Hook of Holland Route.
I do not want to leave my dog in the car. Is there an alternative?
On the Fishguard - Rosslare pets can travel in kennels on the car deck on the Stena Europe only. We cannot take advance reservations however and kennels are issued on a first come, first served basis. Please note there are NO kennels on the Stena Express service.
Guide Dogs:
Stena has signed the Guide Dog Travel Charter, which is a code of ethics for the treatment of Guide Dogs and their owners by the travel industry. In accordance with the charter, guide dogs are entitled to free travel and have full access to the passenger decks on all Stena Line routes and vessels.
